Get to know our Veterinary Team
Dr. Finn
Dr. Finn attended Troy University in Troy, Alabama, and attended veterinary school at Ross University, graduating in 2009. He also spent his clinical year at Auburn University. (War Eagle!!) Dr. Finn has clinical interests in wellness and preventive medicine, and soft tissue surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys motorsports, watching NBA basketball, traveling, and of course, spending time with his Rottie Aprilia.
Jenny
Jenny has been a Customer Care Specialist and has been working in the veterinary field since October 2021. In the past, she has worked as a retail manager to gain customer service skills. She currently is going to school to obtain her business degree. Jenny has lived in Virginia her entire life and currently resides in Strasburg. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and doing home projects
Rachel
Rachael is one of our Customer Care Specialists that is new to the veterinary field. She is currently attending SNHU with a major in Forensic Psychology. When she is not working or in school, Rachael enjoys reading.
Lauri
Practice Manager/ Customer Care
Lauri is our Assistant Practice Manager and has been working for the practice since 2018. Prior to that, she was working as a Medical Assistant and Practice Manager in Oncology, Cardiology, and Ophthalmology practices for human medicine. Animals have always had a special place in her heart therefore she made the decision to change to veterinary medicine with an interest in emergency and urgent care. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program with Penn Foster.
Lauri has lived in Fauquier County since 2005 with her husband, two daughters, and two sons. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys time with her family and friends. She also loves spending her free time caring for her many furry and feathered friends which include two dogs, 3 cats, 5 rabbits, 2 sugar gliders, and 3 conures.
Lachlan
LVT and Practice Manager/Patient Care
Lachlan is a native Virginian. She attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She later graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Veterinary Technology Program at Northern Virginia Community College and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2003. She has a total of 25 years in the veterinary field, which include 2 years in large animal ambulatory experience, 2 years of general practice, 14 years in a surgical referral practice, and 7 years in emergency and critical care.
Lachlan currently lives in Warrenton, VA with her husband of 24 years, 2 daughters, 4 dogs, 1 cat, 2 guinea pigs, and multiple fish. She likes to stay active outside of work and can be found at the gym, riding her bike, or taking a run.
Fun fact about Lachlan. She has completed the Marine Corps Marathon, many half marathons, and duathlons (run, bike, run).
Marlee
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Originally from Ohio, Marlee recently joined the team here at Cardinal. She graduated from tech school in 2020 and worked in a small animal practice until moving. During this time, she gravitated toward surgery and dentistry. Marlee is passionate about providing gold standard care and proper pain management. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, and photography.
Vivian
Veterinary Assistant
Vivian is a Veterinary Assistant and has been with Cardinal Veterinary Center since June of 2022. She just recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S in Animals Science. She has a background working with dogs and cats as well as livestock and poultry. Vivian was born and raised in Virginia and currently resides in Manassas with her two dogs and her boyfriend. She is planning to pursue a career in the field of Veterinary medicine as a licensed veterinary technician.
